Crazy Hours by Hom Nguyen
The artist continues his collaboration with the Swiss watchmaker Franck Muller. During an interview, he confided: "I went to the manufacture, and I drew the dial in one line, it's fluid, instinctive for me". He kept the dial mounted on a titanium case, a non-commercial edition, and it was from this model that the other dials were printed, as for a lithograph. The figures that Hom has drawn give the already generous box a playful and colorful dimension. The 6 and the 9 look alike, as in the drawing of an 11-year-old child, the artist laughs. "I like this idea that the time is difficult to read, because after all, today most people read the time on their mobile." Hom, who is passionate about design and watchmaking, did not want an ostentatious piece, The watch does not shine, it is quite discreet and quirky. The artiste wanted something really unique, like him.
