Touquet Paris-Plage Museum – Solo show
Hom Nguyen presents his new exhibition at the Touquet-Paris-Plage Museum : « Le fil d'Ariane » Ariane's Thread ». The artist's work sounds like a victorious struggle against the growl of the Minotaur, a mythical and cruel creature who, like despair, seeks to devour all men lacking clear-sightedness and faith in Humanity. For Hom, life's tenuous thread, like Ariadne's, keeps him out of reach of the consequences of dramatic circumstances. The exhibition he is presenting at the Touquet-Paris-Plage Museum is organised into three main areas, themselves divided like a labyrinth. The first space, on the ground floor, is devoted to the artist's new exhibition, perhaps his most personal : « Le fil d'Ariane » (Ariadne's Thread). More than thirty works have been specially created by the artist for the occasion. The second area offers a thematic retrospective of Hom's work, with around twenty of his most emblematic works, including many of the faces of children and the elderly. The third, more unusual area allows visitors to immerse themselves in the intimate life of the artist, with a display of personal objects that give a better understanding of Hom's character and humanity.
Exhibition « Le fil d'Ariane » (Ariadne's Thread), Touquet-Paris-Plage Museum, angle avenue du château, avenue du golf, from 19 October 2024 to 18 May 2025.
